The SMIDR XS Construction ship series is part of a line of vessels, designed to serve as basic, cheap but efficent tools for new established colonies.

V.M.E BASIC vessels are cheap, performance friendly ships, that were created for multiplayer-games with strict PCU-limits. They are fast and easy to build, full vanilla and don't require any DLCs, mods, scripts or subgrids.


The A.IS-BSC-02 provides a cockpit with an isolated environment, connected to an air-vent to harvest oxygen. It's capable to operate on planets with a non-breathable atmosphere, but can be used on earth-like planets as well.

• Small profile
  Less than one large grid block in high and two in width including decent space to maneuver, guarantee hassle-free working in tight places and allow you to store the SMIDR in even the smallest hangers.
  
• Connected frame
  All functional parts of this vessel are connected directly to each other. You can leave out or grind down all armor, lights, lcds and other decorative elements in order to save even more PCU, without the ship falling apart or loosing crucial functions.
  
• Basic protection
  A simple rollcage of light armor blocks can prevent damage from the thrusters, should you manage to accidently land the SMIDR on the top.
  
• Lots of space
  Container and welder offer capacities equal to two medium cargo containers, plus the connector. Additionally you can store personal items like tools and bottles in the cockpit.
  
• Battery powered
  This vessel is electricial-powered and does not require any fuel or uranium to function. Attach it to your homebase or mothership via connector and use hotkey 6 on Toolbar 1 to recharge you battery.
  
• Lift & Pull
  A landing gear combined with light weight and a respectable amount of up-thrust allow you to give stranded miners a tow or help your friend to tip his rover back on it's wheels
  
• Oxygen harvest
  Despite not having an O2-tank, the SMIDR comes with a simple air-vent to harvest oxygen form outside and make toxic atmosphere breathable, as long as you remain in the cockpit.
