Steam Generator from water

描述
For early game. Provides the maximum amount of power that can be generated from only 4 tiles of water. Requires a jump start.

After a warmup period, power output varies from 753.9 to 808.

barely enough power to power itself on his own, not a good power source

Yours is nice, but mine has a different design goal. Mine is for situations where you have little water, or only deep water, and you want to maximize power output from as few water tiles as possible. Otherwise I would not use a rotary pump, which consumes power, but small pumps as you do.

i beat u in efficiency. i made a new schematic

we should play sometime, alot of people just balls to the wall it and i see like one mechanical pump feeding like three cultivators, always pains me to see

fair enough, others i mean just places where parts are running under what their full production could be, but what youve made does work, im glad to see you put some thought into it, i usually prefer to make stuff how i need it over sulf sustaining systems as to be self sustaining they usually incur greater costs than a system using whats availble. I understand your reasoning with the coal over spores too. Fair enough

Here's my testing with feeding spores directly: 1 rotary pump can provide water to at most 4 cultivators, assuming it doesn't need to provide water to anything else. Even then, 4 cultivators can only keep 2 steam generators consistently fueled. With 4 cultivators and 3 steam gens, or 3 cultivators and 2 steam gens, the generators will suffer fuel shortages and cause power to cut out periodically. This is easy for anyone to test in sandbox.

There are other setups that are self-sustaining, namely, earlier I had this setup but with 3 coal centrifuges, but that still doesn't let you run more than 4 steam gens with steady power output, so 30 power was being wasted.

Please, specify what inefficiencies there are.

i should really do the math and work out the differences in efficiency from using coal extractors instead of feeding spores straight in, also the rest of this design kills me with its ineffciciencies :P
