Wacht am Rhein campaign, December 16-21, 1944.

The last major German offensive on the Western Front.

The first 5 days are considered one of the most effective for the entire time of this offensive operation for Germany.

By December 11-12, 1944, the snow that fell in November had already completely melted. After this thaw, the landscape of Belgium resembled late autumn or early spring with green, yellow and brown tones around. There was only dirt and fog everywhere.



For many people who are interested in history, it seems that the Battle of the Ardennes is a lot of snow and severe frost, but this is not entirely true. In the first week, the German army was stuck in the mud, but not in the snow.
Cars and tanks got stuck on dirt roads and green meadows that looked like swamps.

German and American photographs and videos that have a shooting date indicate that there was no snow until December 24, and other data indicate that there was no snow until the night of December 26. And only towards the end of December, and especially at the beginning of January, one of the harshest and snowiest winters in the history of modern Belgium began, but the cold weather quickly ended by the end of January the snow melted again.




All 4 missions of this campaign are dedicated to the first 5 days of the battle of the Ardennes. From December 16 to December 21, 1944. +1 bonus mission.

Most missions are large. Turn on the Fog of War. I recommend restarting the game after activating the campaign.

Coop up to 6 players.

For tanks to start moving, start their engines.(Double click on icon with two gears)


ACHTUNG! You need to be active only RobZ mod, Skins for Robz Realism Mod (You can find these mods by following the links on the right) and "Wacht am Rhein". Otherwise, errors may occur during the game. Button name in game missions "Wacht am Rhein".

I like it however I have one issue, can you make it so that mortars are just scripted to bombard a town you capture rather than have a built in wallhack and rangefinder? look at those mortars they're stuck in ditches, there's no way they have visual contact with the enemy, or someone to rely information on the distance, it's extremely unrealistic and annoying looking at how much more mortars the enemy gets over you, you get like 3 at the beginning of the mission (mission 1) and enemy gets 5 mortars on the first point just sitting in some ditches, and like, how do they know precisely what to shoot at?, maybe place 2 which do shoot at you at the objectives
