[MOM] Osaka Metro 80 Series (大阪市交通局80系)

The 80 Series Trains were introduced in 2006 on the Osaka Metro "Imazatouji Line". These trains along with there 70 Series counterparts are unique in that they use "Linear Induction Motors" (LIM) as their means of propulsion, thus allowing the trains to climb steeper gradients than normal Traction Powered trains. However while these trains are for the most part the same as there 70 Series counterparts beyond some cosmetic differences, the 80's Series trains lack the ATO capability of the 70 Series. This along with some cosmetic differences were part of cost saving measures. The Imazatouji Line itself has not lived up to its expectations, leaving the line as a sort of white elephant project even with the various cost saving measures used during its construction. In 2013 one train was moved to the "Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi Line" due to it becoming spare after a schedule revision on the Imazatoui Line.
