Remiel

Remiel is an angelic character that has a unique attack type, always gets angel rooms and converts black hearts into bone hearts.

Remiel attacks by firing ripples of light, these ripples move slowly and weaken over time, but they deal continuous contact damage and grow to cover a wide area, allowing them to damage many enemies at once, their slow speed and large size means you can lure enemies through them to deal more damage similar to large creep puddles, the ripples will also synergise with the players tear effects like homing/confuse/poison.

While playing as Remiel any black hearts that spawn will be replaced with bone hearts, if Remiel gets a black heart from an item it will also be replaced. (other co-op players can still get black hearts from items)

Remiel also starts with Holy Grail and Eucharist, granting flight and forcing angel rooms to open after each boss fight.

Should work with True Co-op.


In Repentance Remiels Tainted form is demonic, shoots large slow brimstone balls and only gets devil rooms, not angel rooms, bone and eternal hearts are turned into black hearts, and they gain 1 black heart whenever they take a devil deal.

Collecting the Birthright item grants Remiel a chance to trigger the Crack the Sky effect when hurt, the tainted form has a chance to activate the Maw of the Void effect when hurt.
