Middle Earth Map Pack

A civilization 5 map adapted from Tolkien's Middle Earth. This is not 100% accurate to the illustrations for aesthetic, gameplay, and technical limitations. Some elements have been moved or resized to make landmarks more exaggerated, or to accomodate better strategic play.

This is not a scenario. It has been designed for singleplayer and multiplayer use, using basic or advanced map settings.

Map built by MrCarlton. This map is revision 1! If you find issues or have feedback feel free to let me know, I want this to be the best civ 5 Middle Earth map it can be.

Help:
For everyone having problems playing the map. Specifically...

1) I'm starting in the desert or the same place everytime
2) The map doesn't show up in my maps list

You need to copy the map from the /mods folder at put it into the /maps folder. This is also how you can host it multiplayer. Every player will need to copy the map to their /maps folder for this to work. The reasons why it is doing this is because there is no way for the map editor to save a map as a normal not-scenario map that is uploadable to steam workshop - or at least i couldn't figure out how.
