Metals and More!

This mod adds new items, features and modifies some crafting and cooking recipes. This mod might make the game a bit more difficult but I will do some rebalancing if needed.


Invisiblity

Some creatures and things will be invisible unless wearing the Spy Goggles. The player can become invisible to other players and mobs if they wear the Invisibility Necklace but other players with the goggles can see you (great for pvp). Anything that is invisible cannot be interacted with without the goggles. You can modify whether or not you can hear these creatures without the goggles.

Both the Spy Goggles and Invisibility Necklace are crafted at the Celestial Alter.

The following will be invisible:

- Totally Normal Trees
- Evil flowers
- Krampus
- Ghosts
- Moon moths
- Chester Eyebone (optional)
- Starsky (optional)
- Evil Butterflies (new; can spawn evil flowers if caught and spawns from evil flowers)
- Glowflies (new; can spawn lightbulb plants if caught and spawns from them)

Smelting and Metals

There are now 2 new metals (iron and copper) in addition to gold. The new smelter [Refine Tab] will let you smelt metals and gems from gem shards. This works similarly to the cookpot for for metals.

Gems work by simple colour mixing and require at least 3 (Yellow, Orange and Green) or 4 (Blue, Red and Purple) gem shards. You do not need to mix metals and gem shards. Full gems cannot be smelted.

Metals dusts (expect for junk dust) are worth 0.5 of their respective metal. Ores are worth 1. Dusts can be smelted into ores.

Nitre, rocks and junk dust can be filler. Copper is found the caves mostly.

Iron Ingot - 3 iron
Copper Ingot - 3 copper
Gold Ingot - 3 gold
Bronze Ingot - 1.5 iron and copper ingot
Moonglass Ingot - 2 moonglass and 1 moon rock
Adamantium Ingot - 1 gold ingot, 1 moonglass ingot, 1 iron ingot and 1 steel wool

The Pig King now gives iron and gold dust for trinkets instead of just gold.

Peculiarity

Works similarly to how it does in DS Hamlet but using the Spy Goggles. Simply use the goggles and then 'Investigate' the tree. There is a 30% fail rate but Wilson never fails.

All trees (including mushtrees) have an 8% chance of being peculiar.

This is the only way to get Wheat Seeds and the rare blueprints for the Safe, Lampposts, Phonograph and Flat Stone Road Turf

Flint for Fire (optional; this can be turned off.)

Flint is now used to start fires. Fire pit and torches cannot be light automatically, instead you need 1 flint to start a fire. Equipping the torch without at least 1 flint will result in an unlit torch.

Flint can also light things on fire. Willow will do this quicker than everyone else.

Farming

Now you can till fertile soil to plant seeds. Farm plots are now gone. Wheat has been added.

Old Food (both changes optional)

The cooking recipes are now changed to use newer ingredients. Also, non-cookpot foods give less hunger.

New Food

-Steam Ham Sandwich-

1 meat, 1 veggie and 1 flour. No monster.

-Hard Shell Tacos-

1 tomato, 1 onion, 1 meat and 1 flour.

-Feijoada-

1 onion or garlic, 1 pepper, 1.5 meat.

Crafting and New Items

Old recipes have been changed to use the new metals.

New Items:

Ancient pseudoscience

-Bronze Bell-

Summons 50-100 meteors (in the forest)
Causes an earthquake (if in the caves)

-Grand Ice Staff-

Summons an ice spike that will freeze things near; deals 200 damage to anything above it.

-Grand Fire Staff-

Summons a fireball and a lava pool similar to the deer spell.

Magic:

-Ice Crown-

Protects against burn damage and hot temperatures will no longer be a threat when wearing the crown. It will freeze enemies who attack the wearer. Lasts 2 days.

-Lightning Helmet-

Protects against lightning but it is a lightning rod. When struck, it will lose durability (50) but lights up and makes any attacks electric for about 5 mins. 500 armour durability.

-Fire Crown-

Protects against freezing and cold temperatures will no longer be a threat when wearing the crown. It will burn enemies who attack the wearer. Lasts 2 days.

-Smelter [Refine Tab]-

Allows you to smelt metals and gems.

-Mealingstone-

Allows you to produce 2 flour from 4 wheat.

-Halberd-

Both an axe (double effectiveness) and a slightly large range weapon (53.125) damage. 125 uses.

-Hoe-

Lets you till fertile soil. 50 uses.

-Fertile Soil Turf-

Can be tilled to grow crops.

-Fancy Helmet-

Absorbs 82% damage. Has 2500 armour durability.

-Metal Suit-

Absorbs 96% damage. Has 2940 armour durability.

Lost (Blueprints Only):

-Flat Stone Road Turf-

Increases speed when placed. Better then the regular road turf.

-Lampposts-

Similar to mushlights but only glow one colour.

-Safe-

Just a nice looking chest.

-Bronze Phonograph-

Plays some The Gorge music. Attracts pigman when playing.

Celestial Alter:

-Spy Goggles-

Lets you see that which cannot be seen. Also, lets you investigate trees. Lasts 5 days.

-Invisibility Necklace-

Makes you invisible such that monsters will not target you and birds do not fly away. Rabbits and flying insects will still run away though. You can still be hurt while invisible as the monsters can still attack you they just won't chase you beyond trying to attack in retaliation. Costs 15 hp to wear and 5 every 5 seconds while wearing it. It can be worn 50 times.

-Flimsy tools-

The flint versions of tools now have much less durability to promote the use of the metal tools. Anyone how can help make better art for these would be appreciated!
