Looks like it's okay for targeting someone's base. But for ship to ship this has about as much use as a Polish target pistol in a gunfight. It'll probably be more detrimental to the ship launching it than the ship it's being launched at.

Do you use any speed mods? Because it surely doesn't penetrate nearly that much for me.

In my tests vs my standard 9-layer of homogeneous HA this cube managed to penetrate it in 50% of tests, so 40 layers is a bit of exaggeration. I haven't tested it vs spaced layers, like you did in the video though.
The same (or better) penetration can be achieved with two-block torpedo (merge + drill). Of course, this cube offers better collateral damage. I have a gravity missile with a frontal part using the same concept, but it's 2x2 in frontal projection, and does delayed warhead detonation after initial penetration.
