Reading this thread brought back memories, I still have a copy of Baro 8.2.3 with BTE installed, I'm upset to see that the masterlist for servers is down, I would love to be able to play old versions and get that grief game play back, it was so much fun having the ship fall into complete chaos and trying to survive. funniest times was someone sabotages the respawn shuttle and crashes it into the main ship or floods it.

Lol, it's a shame the devs leaned into anti griefing measures and made the game a safe space of "no fun allowed"

I remember the prison ship on BTE where you would have control over the little monorail that connected the rest of the ship with the bridge. I would take over the monorail and break the doors so that people (usually the captain and his entourage) would get trapped on it, causing the rest of the ship to fall into chaos. Spawning as a prisoner and going full riot mode, blowing up the reactor, and then commandeering the gun cart on the top of the ship was also pretty funny.

I used to do this thing which you can't do on this baro. Basically what I would do is go to the event controller thing for the door and replace the 1s and 0s with random shit and it would bug the door making it unrepairable, you cant fix the controller by fixing the 1s and 0s and it cannot be destroyed because it would be opening and closing thousands of times a second. Really funny doing that on this ship because there would be no way out

BTE was the most fun I ever had playing Barotrauma; many sleepless nights spent griefing and doing stupid shit.

Legacy Baro was the best version. That and the Baro Extended mod.

There are old Barotrauma versions on the internet if you can look. I'd link one here but steam has a policy and I'm not sure of the legality of posting them now that it's been discontinued. You'd need a friend or acquaintance who has one.
