gm_contrast is a large, open map set in a heavily class-segregated city, the high class area takes up most of the map, with a small playable area for the poor side.

The high class area is inspired by mirror's edge and general japanese architecture.

The map is noded.

The High Class (Precinct 7)
The West side of the Map is a depiction of a technologically and architecturally advanced city, reminiscent of the “City Of Glass” from the Mirrors Edge franchise. Its Buildings are white, clean and elaborately designed, with Sky bridges connecting smaller structures and parks full of maple trees. Roads are well maintained and citizens commonly work office jobs, due to manufacturing being primarily in the lower class section. Theft rates are low and murders are a rare occurrence. Police presence in these Precincts is relatively non-existent, or better described… covert.

The Low Class (Precinct 12A)
The East side of the Map can best be visually described as a run-down industrial and residential area. It is the hub of corporate manufacturing in gm_contrast. Ominous figures prowl the streets of the district at night. Organised crime and murder rates are almost 50x higher than the high class area. Precinct 12A is the second most dangerous part of the old city, number one being Precinct 42B, which is currently the location of an ongoing crackdown against the Karuteru Drug Cartel. The lower class area also contains many storm drains that were at an unknown point rebuilt into underground housing and stores. It is amazingly easy to get ones hands on cheap, black market weaponry.
