In the wake of the 50th moon landing anniversary and the recent update release video put out by Keen, I decided to cobble together a moon lander. Although designed for the moon, the lander can comfortably handle a descent and ascent to and from mars, and can even launch in 1G in emergencies.

Designed as a re-usable vehicle to ferry people to and from the lunar surface, in a similar fashion to what has been proposed for use in NASA’s Artemis programme.

As there is no way to directly re-fuel the hydrogen tank, I recommend this for use as a prop in creative (however the tank can store enough fuel for several round trips if you are sensible). Or you could just wire up a H2/O2 generator directly to the port on the tank and cut it off when you’re done and ride down to the surface in style ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Instructions for use can be found on the various LCDs around the cockpit, and due to the amount of rotors on this build, it’s about as easy to fly as an actual moon lander.

It can be docked to a station to recharge the batteries via a rotor with a small merge block. Parachutes are included just in case ;)

Let's hope NASA does not cancel the Artemis program (again) though at this rate their current prediction for a 2028 landing is getting less and less likely.

If it does become a 2040 landing I will suspect that your a time agent!

It's a small grid, standard procedure is to sit in the passenger seat and select the remote control block. It's quite a common method ;)
