USS Olympia (v2)

One of the oldest steel warships still afloat, the USS Olympia is unique for its kind these days, built in 1895, the Olympia was a pre-dreadnought era armored cruiser, which saw action during the american-spanish war, where it became legendary during the battle for the philipines. she also played a role in world war one, but did not see any notable action.

The Olympia was advanced for its time, it was fitted with several smaller caliber guns with high firing rate, which proved to be very effective during the American-Spanish war. She had a powerful steam engine capable of pushing the Olympia up to 28 knots at full steam.

Its also notable for it being the only surviving 1800's pre-dreadnought armored cruiser, currently serving as a museum ship under the Cruiser Olympia Society in Philadelphia. However, here future is currently grim as lack of maintenance causes the ship to deteriorate under the waterline, and a major overhaul is needed if shes to survive as a relic in the future.

I hope i did this ship justice with this model, as well as giving her a set of special features. three long weeks finally paid off


32k triangles (yeah i know) with all submeshes combined, 4x1024 textures.

Requires Vehicle effects mod.

Comes with custom black smoke effects and sound effects for whistle and engine, as well as a new wake effect.

The ship also includes on deck crewmembers, that are permanently visible on the vehicle version, and can be toggled on the ploppable version by changing its name in game.

Why is it a building and not a prop ? because it uses submeshes and props cant have submeshes.
