Added small grid teakettles and related production blocks. Scaled down 15x in stats.


Rebalanced and enhanced Epstein Drive, original mod here: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=841831581

Now produces 100mn of thrust
Consumes 500mw of power
Consumes 3mw of hydrogen (Roughly 1/3 of a large hydrogen thruster)

-NEW- Teakettle Thrusters
These are for manuevering, and run off steam heated by your reactor. Not nearly as effiecent as the epstein drive, but still very good.
Includes Ice melter and Water tanks.

Large Teakettle
Produces 20mn of thrust
Consumes 3mw water

Teakttle
Produces 4mn of thrust
Consumes 500w of water


Vanilla Models for now. Custom ones to come in the future, maybe.

I have figured it out after alot of troubleshooting. The main drive is using the Water, instead of Hydrogen. Same issue with the core itself.

Looking through the code now, and if I can piece together what got changed with the newest update, I'll throw what to edit where here.

Just a heads up, the core no longer consumes Hydrogen.

Ciao Cosmonaut,
i'm a big fan of the expanse of course and i really like this mod but i was wondering: the Epstein drive is a fusion reactor by itself, it gives propulsion of course but it give off all the power needed for the ship too. yes it will need some power to startup for sure but it should produce power not consume it.
Can we talk about this? i will be happy to help you modding to create a perfect replica in SE of the epstein drive

Not sure what is wrong but the water splitter accepts no water.
I have a filled water tank and O2/H2 tanks connected.
Anything i missed?

uh idk if its your mod doing this or what but iv lost all inersial dmapeners from side to sid, not up/down or forward/back side to side... jsut thought i should tell you
