Flight Tips:

Recomend enabling SAS for all flight.

Neutral Throttle Lift ~50%-66%

Hovering: Engine tilt acts like the cyclic on a helicopter. Use it to control speed fore and back while nose-level. Roll required for side speed.

Accelerate in forward Flight: From a hover, tilt engines forward (so they point backward) to build speed. Continue to gradually tilt forward and increase throttle. At around 75m/s disable engine gimbal to reduce part juttering. Maintain level nose and keep an eye on ascent speed and vector. Control this with engine tilt. If vector is below horizon, tilt engines back (point downard) to gain lift. The opposite applies to reduce lift.

Decelerate from forward flight: Reduce throttle to 50%. At ~200m/s tilt engines full back. Use pitch up to further reduce forward momentum. Maintain altitude above 100m until below 75m/s.
