The MAS 36 was developed as a cheap and easy to produce rifle for the French army to stock while a new semi automatic rifle was developed.It's purpose then would be to act as an emergency weapon for the reserves,while the better guns were being mobilised to them.It was a very simple rifle with few moving parts and a very reliable action.
It didn't saw much use during WW2,but it was used in the French army until the 60's,and in other countries until much later.The rifle grenade is not historically accurate,as it was developed in 1952 for a 7,62 NATO version of the rifle,but we still thought it'd be a nice addition
