Lore behind the Sentinel MBT

The Sentinel Main Battle tank was designed in the year 2054. Originally a stopgap design, engineers began to realize it's capabilities. Eventually, the Sentinel became a prized armored vehicle among the armies of the solar system, providing heavy armor, a powerful 120mm cannon, and great mobility, this design succeeded in most areas. One issue that was encountered during initial testing was the dual hydrogen engines, which consumed precious Hydrogen fuel greedily. Eventually a countermeasure was introduced, allowing the Sentinel to have build in Hydrogen generators, at the cost of its rear protection.

This design has numerous features:
• A small interface inside the cockpit, allowing you to see information that would be otherwise ignored.
• Heavy armor protection, with a lot of composite in the frontal upper and lower glacis.
• A hydrogen engine.
• A protected frontal cockpit.

Survival version is in-progress and this will be updated to be survival ready soon.

in my winston modded i had the entire gun on the outside and the same for the upcoming winston MK2 modded if that helps

ok, my question is how do you get ammunition, and how do you get it in the gun, not just on the sentinel, (I'm making my own tank)

@Hashtag That issue is unsolved in the Sentinel Mk I, however, to access the gun, you need to remove the mantlet's upper shroud. That is done by deleting a row of blocks on the top of the cannon's breech.

not bad i do like it but i do preffer my own wistion tank but still its fun to drive about in and to fight the drones that spawn from bases good job i know how hard tanks can be to make

Ok thank you. also AWP isn't answering so i thought id ask, how do you load the main gun?

@Hashtag King, it’s likely that the Real Life Sentinel was based off the Crusader, a lot of consecutive tanks from single nationa tend to carry design traits over, if you look at the German Panzer I, II, III, and IV, you can see that. As well as the Russian T-34 series, you can see the turret resemblence between the T-70 Light Tank, the T-50 Light Tank, the T-34 Medium tank, and the T-34/85, the KV-85 (which used the same turret as the T-34/85) and the IS-1, IS-2 and IS-3.

@Phoenix you’ll have to drive forward and then turn right or left, it’s weird like that. Also, Sentinel Mk II with an actual interior is on the way!

was the actual sentinel based on the crusader? I noticed the turret bulges out above the ring in a similar way
