A Fan-designed "What If"

After the end of the Colony Wars series, the fate of the RWi's Dreadnought 'Vengeance' seemed clear, as the battered, crippled hulk was beset by Green Drone energy weapon assault.

But what if the Green Drones were not kind enough to let the lady die with dignity?

The Hulk was salvaged, it's technology analyzed, and the still-durable spaceframe deemed potentially useful. The systems were patched back into a semblance of functionality with parts from the plethora of wrecks left over from the final battle, and the ship was saturated with Green Drone nanotechnology, corrupting every system. A Drone Overseer brain was installed in what was once CIC.

Now the battered, twisted and ruined hulk lurches back to a semblance of life. Radioactive coolant leaks from hundreds of cracked lines. Fires burn untended. The hull is cross-crossed with sickly green nanofibres binding the broken mess together. Missing weapons have been replaced, either from the hulks of the DRK and RWI forces, or with Green Drone energy weapons.

Now the shambling ruin has been set loose, jumping from system to system, a singular task occupying it's simplistic drone core: Find the remnants of the DRF. Find the remnants of RWI. Destroy anything it encounters.
