FEATURES

This mods adds the Japanese voices, available via the mods [WOTC] Shogun 2 Japanese Male Voicepack and [WOTC] Shogun 2 Female Japanese Voice Pack to soldiers of the following nations automatically:

Japan (Base Game)

This also renames the voices from the mods [WOTC] Shogun 2 Japanese Male Voicepack and [WOTC] Shogun 2 Female Japanese Voice Pack to Japanese 1, Japanese 2, and Japanese 3 to go along with the existing base game voices.

CONFIGURATION

You can remove individual nations from getting Japanese voices by removing their entries in XComFameBoard.ini located in the mods Config folder.

COMPATIBILITY AND KNOWN ISSUES

This mod requires [WOTC] Shogun 2 Japanese Male Voicepack and[WOTC] Shogun 2 Female Japanese Voice Pack to work correctly.

Editing localization files of a mod via another mod seems not to function correctly at all times. Seems to be a load order issue, but even altering your load order through Alternative Mod Launcher[github.com] does not seem to always work. If the localization changes don't show up for you can copy the localization files from this mod to the mods [WOTC] Shogun 2 Japanese Male Voicepack and [WOTC] Shogun 2 Female Japanese Voice Pack and overwrite when asked to get the intended effect.

@Cobra Commander I Know this is old but I've seen someone say just closing and re-opening the voice menu after you select it will let the preview play.

I installed this, and both the dependencies... for some reason the voice files are not actually playing. Japanese 1,2,and 3 show up in the customization menu, but when you click preview, nothing happens. Anyone know a solution? Thanks.

Just posting to confirm that this mod works, even with WOTC and default launcher. You have to make a small edit to the mod file for the male pack, otherwise it doesn't show up, but someone else posted a fix in the comments of that mod.

Doesn't work with the current update. Maybe no mod works currently. But I cannot see any japanese voice.

Why go to the trouble of creating voice packs if you don't put up a short sample video for us to hear? No sub
