New version of the map can be found here: (6 - 8) Metropolis

Huge 8 player urban map. Due it's size, the map might crash on slower PCs, in this case it is recommended to play with fewer players/bots and/or lower the graphics in the game options. The map is currently at the beta stage which means that this map is not finished yet and it will be updated from time to time.

Recommended to play with mods which increase the popcap and adjust the zoom.

Known bugs: possible crashes

The map is inspired by these real-life places: Klaipėda (Memel), Saint-Petersburg (Leningrad), Odesa, Kyiv, Riga, Königsberg, Tilsit, Kaunas, Copenhagen, Warsaw, Gdansk (Danzig), Budapest, Berlin, Frankfurt, Paris, London, Rotterdam, Moscow, New Orleans.

I was unable to play this map for the longest time, and three computer upgrades later I can barely play it now finally lol.

That being said, if you can play it and you can make it all the way until the end, it IS a good experience. The streets are not too tight for infantry and vehicles where the camera feels claustrophobic; The design and layout of the city itself is gorgeous; And Bridge Fights are actually fun.

Greetings. Unfortunately, most probably not.

Nevertheless, I have some ideas on how to further upgrade this map, so maybe, some time when I have enough time and motivation, I will continue working on it.

oh i like the fact you have 2 advance bases close to the center, makes it so the defensive oreinted guys can have a bit of brawling before everyone else:critical::missing::GHVomit:

Nah, there are still people who enjoy this map although it has some problems. I wouldn't want to take away the possibility to play this map even though it's unfinished.

Gecko i suggest for now make it private and rerelease it when its fully finished
since many don't read that this is a beta test of the map for the public
