Re-upload cause it is too good to leave in the oblivion (original mod https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/profiles/76561198031032426).

Files can be manually downloaded here:

Allows for non-aggression pacts to be made with players and independent ai rulers who have an opinion of at least 75 of you.

Not ironman compatible (ty Lokankedorara, Senorad ku Aleia).

Shouldn't need to be updated unless they change how non-aggression pacts or friendships work.
If anyone want's to add localisations, drop a comment about it we can work it out.

This mod doesn't work for many people, I have tried to figure out why and fix it, but I do not have the know-how to fix it, I believe the uploading process may be partly responsible for breaking it.

Angelic Burrito Has made a suggestion as to a way that could fix it for some users:
In the CK2 mods folder, editing 'Nap_friends.mod.mod' so that 'path="mod/nap_friends" ' becomes 'archive="mod/nap_friends.zip" ', the trailing space isn't necessary.

Without Reason has also suggested that using the Google Drive version will also help with stability over the steam download, which I also believe is likely to help.

I'm happy people are determined to make it easier for everyone to use this mod, I just want to say, I won't be updating the mod probably, unless someone informs me of a way to reliably fix the issue (although it doesn't appear that there is one), or if someone translates the mod to another language.

Just in case it could help someone in the future, I've been able to use your Steam mod without issue after uncompressing to a local copy and changing it like so :

Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod\nap_friends (<-mod folder)
Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod\nap_friends.mod

Content of nap_friends.mod :

I've reported a similar issue to another mod author, and it indeed does looks like it, which is a pita.

I guess one viable option would be for players to uncompress the archive instead, but that has the double inconvenience of messing with updates that mod authors can release, and also requiring some modding knowledge since some files would need to be renamed and properly repositioned.

Something that the CK2 game may or may not like is that there are two different descriptor.mod files [i.ibb.co] in the same zip archive downloaded from Steam.

This could explain the issues some people are having, while it works for others. Even if it doesn't, it shouldn't harm for it to be fixed if possible.

I'll list out the steps I took to get this mod working for me.

1. I unsubscribed from the steam workshop version and manually deleted all the mod files from ck2 mod directory. (usually in "...\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod")

2. I downloaded the mod from the google drive link in the mod description and put the mod files into my ck2 mod directory.

3. As per Angelic Burrito's instructions, open the "nap_friends.mod.mod" file in your mod directory with notepad and replace the line of text that says:
path="mod/nap_friends"
with this EXACT line of text:
archive="mod/nap_friends.zip"

Please remember to give the mod a thumbs up and favorite if you like it.

So I finally got this mod to work!

If this mod isn't working for you, try using the Google Drive version linked in the mod description and then edit the descriptor file as @Angelic Burrito directed below.

@Avner I know this is 10 years too late, but the likely fix for you is:
Go into your CK2 mods folder.; usually in "...\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod"
Open "nap_friends.mod.mod" in your favorite text editor and change "path="mod/nap_friends" to archive="mod/nap_friends.zip"
