MW1 - Wooden Remington Model 700 [AWP]

The Remington Model 700, a American bolt action sniper rifle and it is one of the top choices for hunters and police force. It was manufactured by Remington Arms and was produced in 1962. The R700 is based on the older variant of the Model 721 which was made in 1948 and is also made by Remington. The R700's feed system is 3- to 5 round internal magazine depending on the caliber chamber and the cartridges varies (either .308 Winchester cartridge, .223 Remington, .243 Winchester, etc). There are three variants of the R700, the standard version, police and military. The standard version was made for civilians and was intended for hunting as for the police version is made for law enforcement under the name Model 700P (Police). The military does use the Model 700, however with modifications, designs and features, the two modified sniper rifles became a successor to the U.S Army's M24 Sniper Weapon System and the U.S Marines' M40 series.
