S-04 ‘Triton’ Space Station

A simple, bare-bones ISS style space station that mercilessly exploits the carbon fibre skin to achieve the textile like covering seen on modern spacecraft. Inspired by the concepts for the Lunar Gateway station, Triton serves as a fuel, power and oxygen store as well as a place for cargo ship crews and engineers to restock on their ascent out of gravity.

The station itself is designed to sit on the cusp of a planet’s gravity well as it has no gravity generator. It has pressurised accommodation for 4 engineers and a utility module that stores a survival kit, lockers and an O2/H2 generator. It also functions as the station’s airlock. An ion thruster and gyroscope can be found amidships for emergency manoeuvres.

To transfer gas fully between connected ships/stations and the freighter, set the tanks on the grid you want to refill to 'Stockpile: ON' and the tanks on the ship/station you want to drain from to 'Stockpile: OFF'

A camera, laser antenna and interior turret are located on the underside of the station.

Fellow non DLC player here, you are able to spawn things with DLC, only problem SE deletes the blocks that are in the DLC, so as long as you just repair it, it should work. (I did this with the cluster bomb ship)

SE wont let me spawn it without the DLC. can you please make a version for us poor bois

If you modify the aft connector as stated in the lander description, anything can ;)

Nice looking build!, I suggest adding Isys solar alignment script (gyro mode) and your solar panels will always be close to 100% efficiency, you need a programmable block though.

That is the main downside of the station, yes. The aft section is more of a fuel and oxygen deposit for emergencies I guess... the next station I make won't have this problem for sure though ;)

I enjoyed the visual design and a number of features were clever - such as using rotor/piston heads to "cap off" conveyor ports. Minimalism nailed! My complaint: the front section is completely detached from the rest, meaning transfer of oxygen/hydrogen (especially from the O2 Farms) to the cabin area is impossible without severe modification or a constant supply of ice.

Would have preferred self-sufficiency, and I'll probably hold off using it until then, but don't let that detract from how impressed I am with the overall design and efforts to compact so much into so little.

@TheLeeFlea it has a single ion thruster, but the blueprint itself spawns as a station so in theory anywhere that it's powerfull enough to support it. I don't reccomened anywhere more than 0.
1g though. The thruster is really for emergency last ditch manoeuvres.
