Defending the outskirts 1942. (SP/COOP)

A defense mission in which you need to defend the coutryside surrounding Stalingrad against the German advance . At your disposal you have trained infantry squads , aswell as anyone willing fight and a wide array of support weapons .

Difficulty is regulated by the amount of time you need to defend ( easy- 30 min , normal - 1hr , hard-1hr 30 mins , heroic-2hrs )

Reccomended difficulty is normal .

Mod comes with a grass mod , so if you have a lower-end PC disable the grass in the options .

Robz mod required to run the mission .

Here are some tips incase you are struggling to defend :

- Use up all of the ammo crates and trucks at the ammo depot right away (or at least move them closer to the front)
- Try to get 2 heavy ammo trucks to the artillery guns (You might have to direct control the trucks to get them up the hill but once you do you probably won't need to worry about their ammo for the remainder of the mission )

- Spread out your anti-tank guns (one in the village at the far left , one at the right end of the village and if you have spare points or think you need a bit more firepower in the center put another at-gun in the farmstead inbetween the church and the village , church is well defended but it needs ammo to hold it)

-Anti-tank infantry is exellent against armoured cars and halftracks

- You can build trenches with engineer trucks (trench shovels)

- Stock up on ammo and infantry reserves incase of unexpected breakthroughs

- Use artillery to destroy large groups of infantry (don't waste it on tanks)

- Use tanks as mobile AT guns and pillboxes (move them where they are needed)

- If the KV1 tank gets damaged in such a way that it cannot fire , do not abandon it since it soaks up enemy shells nicely and gives your troops enough time to fight back

- Some vehicles can be render harmless just by destroying their tracks (flame tanks ?)

- Logistics are vital to survival , lack of ammo makes your defences weak

- Be prepared for your defences to buckle under the pressure

- More infantry=less problems

- Do not waste points on what you don't need
