Thats a deep hole!

This is a super simple lightweight mod that adds one line of text to all sub-surface deposits telling you if the deposit is shallow or deep.
Works on surface, underground and on asteroids.
Once you research the tech that unlocks the deep deposits its impossible to tell if they were once deep or not.
This will show you.
Your RC Driller can only drill on shallow deposits.
Now you know which ones your RC Driller can reach.

** Does not add text to Concrete since all Concrete is surface based.

Well I still don't get it. I can easily differ between shallow and deep deposits looking at the max amount of it. But I didn't play the game much. Just 2 rounds in the past and 2 rounds this weekend. I even don't know the RC Driller, but as I can see on the description it's just a visual for this vehicle to know which deposit it can mine...

If it's just a visual to give the game a better look, then thanks for your work. I guess new players might really need that description in the game! Hope it might find the way into the game, but as a developer myself I fear this would be mostly on the last position on a todo list :(

@SkiRich you should add that the RC driller is special to the Space Race DLC for the Russian Sponsor. Might remove confusion. And add the tag of required DLC.

I'm not sure whats the porpuse of this mod. As long as I don't have the tech I can see the difference and when I got the tech it's clearly to differ if it's shallow or deep because of the amount in it. The deep ones always got a lot more.

But maybe I'm missing something? Is it because of some other mods why someone would need this? Or did I miss some random breakthrough tech where I need to know it for sure instead of looking at the amount of the deposit?

Yes, core and deep deposits are different colors when the tech has not been researched. But once researched they are all the same color.

When a resource is listed as orange/red no digger can dig there until you research the necessary items at which point they are blue, and until this mod by @SkiRich there weren't any additional clear identifiers of what can be dug by the RC Diggers deep drill.

core actually display the difference in blue and orange/red colors. blue for shallow, orange/red being deep deposits.

so far i've not seen that change at all since release.

oke i didnt know that havent played with that RC just tought it was more of a deep VS underground thing. learn something new everyday
