CLIMB MOUNT NARODNAIA
This series of scenarios is meant to simulate a Soviet invasion of Japan, after a joint Japanese-Korean-American fleet exercise is seen by the Soviets as a preparation for an attack against the motherland. These scenarios are not meant to be overly realistic, but instead are designed to mirror a campaign by the same name in Wargame: Red Dragon, with a few twists, edits, and additional content to make the missions more enjoyable and challenging. Have fun!

The island of Shikoku, under air and naval support from Kuznetsov and her escorts, has been conquered by the communist invaders, with several thousand more Japanese soldiers captured. With the remaining JSDF forces cornered in Kyushu, Soviet high command pulls as many forces as it can from Kuznetsov's AO to support the final ground push.
American ground forces have finally begun to arrive from Kadena, bringing well-rested and prepared American soldiers and equipment. If Kyushu can hold out for just two more days, the American Carrier task force Enterprise will arrive on scene to fight back against the tired Soviet forces. The possibility of sinking two Soviet carriers and a Soviet battlecruiser could bring about massive consequences to the Soviet war machine in the region. Although much of Japan is devastated and most of the Japanese people killed or captured, the Americans would be sure to bring about a powerful avenging blow against the Bear.
To end the war today, Soviet high command risks yet another gamble. By stretching Kuznetsov and her escorts to the south of Kyushu, the Soviets would be sure to cut off all air and seaborne reinforcements. To complete the move, several of Minsk's escorting nuclear submarines have been detached to provide the other end of this pincer move around the last of the Japanese.
The risks are great, and as always, the rewards are plentiful. This time, however, the Soviets might very well have stretched just too far...

ACT NINE: PINCER MOVE
- This is mostly a pure surface and subsurface scenario. Even with the Soviet's advantages against the Japanese, the strategic picture will force Kuznetsov to operate under enemy air superiority for this mission.
- The original Wargame campaign has the remaining enemy fleet you will face labeled as a Korean fleet, even though a large amount of the ships fielded were American and Japanese. For the purposes of the campaign context here, I have decided to leave this Korean title out.
- With that said, I have stayed true to the enemy OOB and included every ship in the original Korean fleet. Get ready to see lots of missiles flying!
