A free building...
Of course there's a catch, the upgrades are very expensive and requires food to sustain.
Can only be built in a spire space.
Once fully upgraded however, it will be a stable source of water for the dome.

Without upgrades:
1 Water output
50 Dome Comfort
4 Food maintenance

Each upgrade costs 100 Electronics

Fully upgraded
25 Water output
50 Dome Comfort
5 Power required
10 Food maintenance

Any chance of an update to this mod? Seems the new Dev has made a point of breaking older mods

I say "free" but it does require food to maintain.
It is a good fall back, and if things are really dire upgrades can be turned off so it doesn't require power. Makes it a nice backup as you said and a balancing act early on with the food.

I prefer the challenge of not getting things free in game more often than not. But I like the idea of having something to fall back on that's free if things went really bad in game.

The water is "free"
Thinking behind it is the tree can take moisture from the food and from the air in the dome itself, humans breathe out a fair bit of moisture and the atmosphere will have some water too.
There are upgrades to make it produce more, I know a lot of people dislike the idea of a "free" building!

Interesting concept. Does the dome it's in need to be near a water source to pump the water? Or is the water just free?
