*The top of the island is purposefully barren, to simulate the devastation of an impact crater.
*Most turrets are inactive. The first active set teaches the player how they work together (it’s dangerous, but close to the surface for convenient respawning). In the Island Creator, you can only fire guns from the left, but in Worlds Adrift, you can fire guns from either shoulder. It will be easier to fire from safety if you can fire from the right shoulder. The next two active turrets are combined with inactive turrets: they drag the player to hidden resources while lulling them into a false sense of security. The final turrets guard the main island rewards. I think it's important to have a few islands with well-guarded loot. The danger increases the odds that players who make it all the way to the end will find something worthwhile.
