Cold War Crisis: Air Assault (SP)

November, 1983: The Warsaw Pact has launched a first strike against NATO forces in Central Europe. The Red Army and NVA advance across the Inner-German border, threatening to overwhelm NATO troops scattered about the West German country on field training exercises. As the conflict spreads across the globe, the US Army garrison on Malden, a UN-mandated peacekeeping force on rotation to quell conflict surrounding Cyprus, is drawn into The Conflict. Soviet airmobile expedtionary forces have landed on Malden, and the American light infantry forces stationed on Malden are forced to deploy directly against their Communist adversaries for the first time.

Command a squad of US Army Air Assault light infantry in a ground force action, supported by artillery, against their Soviet counterparts. Assault key terrain occupied by enemy forces and secure your objectives against the Warsaw Pact on the island of Malden.

This is a straightforward, simple mission which originated from messing around in the Eden Editor and developing Cold War scenarios with the best of the assets from the Workshop. As such, it is probable that despite the simplistic nature of the scenario, there are kinks or bugs not addressed, likely resulting from approaches to the mission different from my own.
