This mod adds the AFGHANISTAN Civilization

1) Go to MODS, 2) Activate this mod, 3) Play the game with the mod!

IF YOU HAVE A MAC, you can make this mod work BUT it does take a fair amount of work to do so. Please visit http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=477763 It will explain how to do it. Or you could just try it the regular way; it may work, you never know.

INFO ABOUT THIS MOD

This mod adds the Kingdom of Afghanistan under King Zahir Shah.

TRAIT: THE GRAVEYARD OF EMPIRES

+33% Combat Bonus when fighting units in friendly lands. Units ignore terrain costs when moving into any tile with Hills. Unhappiness from number of Cities increased by 50% due to factional and ethnic infighting.

Fantastic, though I would like to have seen Ahmed Shah Durrani the FOUNDER of Afghanistan or Sher Shah Suri, another Pashtun king. All of our Shahs have been Pashtun and we are the greatest warriors of the Islamic World!

Though if we were to put modern leaders on it... Mullah Mohammed Omar would have been nice, oh well.

DUDE THEY stoped the russians...Well yeah we-USA) did use our Lend and Lease poily so they would have the Stinger lock on missle to take they helo's down and they lefted...That proves there dedacasion for there home CIV.. Leaders really no 1 stands out but i would def. Give them a pretty good atk unit that can cross mountins,Since they have a ton there it makes since to give them the abilitys they would have leared how 1 way for trading mainly.But if not that at least good movment without any pen.With hills or forest/jung...Thanks for mod am gonna give it a go bro...Also if any1 says the name bin liaden YOU r dumb=He at best lived there so that has 0 to do with a Civ...Good Gaming and Modding!!!!!!!

I agree with Enforcers, there are much better leader choices especially based on your choice of unit and building types. Perhaps a better leader would be former Afghan Defense Minister Ahmad Shah Massoud who led his people not only against the Soviets but against The Taliban as well.

One more thing for this mod. All the other civilizations have leaders when that civ was at its highest, their most glorious peak. Why have you put the king of afghanistan that ruled duirng what was known as the "Dark Ages of Afghanistan"?

You should have put Ahmad Shah Durrani, and his Afghan empire. He was also in control of the military of the persian empire until it fell. He created a pretty big empire, making that the highest and most glorious period of the Afghan people.

Maybe you could, or someone else could, make another mod with him.

Graveyard Of Empires! Nice. Afghanistan has defeated Alexander the Great, Ghengis Khan, the British during their reign of India, the USSR, and now America and their allies.

I don't know why mrktucson is saying they don't want to take Afghanistan, when they do. It has the most tactical position: Russia to the north, China to the north-east, Pakistan and its nukes to the east, Iran and their half completed nukes the west and Khazakhstan to the north east. Afghanistan borders Iran and Turkmenistan, the second and third largest oil reserves in the world. Now tell me, do you really think America would turn their back on that?
