Algae Grower



Description
The Algae Grower is a new building that can be used to grow small amounts of Algae from Fertilizer, Carbon Dioxide and Water, producing some Oxygen as a side effect. Requires Light.

Building category: Oxygen
Required research: Agriculture

Consumes:
  • Carbon Dioxide: 13.75 g/s
  • Fertilizer: 625 mg/s
  • Water: 5.625 g/s (can absorb from the ground)

Produces:
  • Algae: 10 g/s (automatically dropped on the ground once 5kg is produced)
  • Oxygen: 10 g/s

Constructed with:
  • 400 Farmable (Dirt, Clay)

@vaxquis: But it DOES produce algae, not consumes it. Literally what the description says in the section labeled "Produces:" so n3mes1s isn't the one failing to read.

@nemes1s: can you read? It doesn't _produce_ algae, it _consumes_ them. It's a twist on algae terrarium, that instead of producing algae consumes them, similar to oxygen diffuser, but requires no electricity. Also, a legit way to produce polluted water and also O2 gen is way higher than for grower. IMVHO really useful.
Don't use it if you don't need/like it. It's a mod, FFS.

What is the purpose of this mod? It needs light, fertilizer and it only produces 5kg of algae??? lol.

I started playing again when I bought the dlc I didn't have. Works fine here in 2025.
