The North American F-86 Sabre was one of the first American swept wing jet fighters. It saw some of the earliest jet against jet aerial battles with the Russian MiG-15. It could fly transonic speeds, and set many speed records. It saw active service during the Korean War, where it saw combat against the MiG-15. The two jets where very closely matched, though the MiG could outmaneuver the F-86. However, MiG pilots lacked training and proper equipment. The Sabre also saw service in the early years of the Cold War. With almost 10 thousand build, the F-86 was officially retired from service in 1994 in Bolivia.

Because this matched with the MiG-15, I built this in collaboration with Krautregen, who built a MiG-15.
