Okato

Future IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada made his TNA debut in 2010 as part of a partnership between TNA and NJPW. Okada was tasked with learning how to develop a character on his American excursion, and after initially debuting under his real name, he eventually dropped his first name and later began appearing as Okato, a character inspired by The Green Hornet's sidekick Kato. Okato, much like Kato, was mostly a sidekick, often assisting Samoa Joe during a feud with D'Angelo Dinero.

NJPW was reportedly not happy with Okada's treatment in TNA, and the relationship between the two companies ended shortly after he was brought back to Japan.

In 2012, Okada made his return to Japan and debuted his "Rainmaker" persona.
