The Roanoke Rout has been released. Hopefully, -hopefully- it will have been worth the extended wait... and will not be riddled with bugs somehow.
My initial plan was to have it released before the 10th, but I underestimated the amount of scripting required for all the variables in play. New mark is the 20th or sooner, and it seems I'm on track for having it released in that time frame. I have all the writing done, and the scripting mapped out. Now I just need to finish the scripting and do play testing and The Roanoke Rout should be ready for release.
The final map of the chapter is less script intensive than TRR, so Bridges Nowhere should follow TRR faster than TRR followed up AEC.
Good luck on your guide it's always nice to see new guides added. Speaking of which I really need to finish mine, it's still marked WIP ahah
Once the end of this chapter hits I'll probably take a break from map making for a bit. So I can work on the Guide I have planned. Then I'll play through the whole chapter back-to-back to get a feel for how it plays so far, and then begin work on chapter 2. I already chapter 2 mapped out, and a solid idea of where I want the campaign to go. So hopefully chapter 2 take less time to develop than the first chapter (after correcting for the large gap after From the Ashes' initial release).
I will say that the extremes on this map (clearing none of the dwellings, going well over the first timer) stand to make the next map significantly harder. The variables act as a kind of dynamic difficulty in that regard. There will also be quick-start options if one doesn't want to manually configure the map
