Falcon Has Fallen

"Falcon Has Fallen" is a short but highly intense mission dealing with evacuation of a Syrian general from the middle of urban battle.

LOCATION: Damascus Southern Suburbs

OVERALL SITUATION: The forces of Syrian Republican Guard supported by 4th Syrian Armor Division and Russian Special Operations units moved into Damascus southern suburbs and are now engaged in heavy fighting with the opposition forces consisting mostly of ISIS and Al-Nusra troops with some APC and armor support. The units of Republican Guard managed to gain some ground but were halted by rebel defense line along the Damascus southern road. Several units of 4th Armor Division were relocated to the area to further the advance of the government forces. A unit of Russian Spetsnaz GRU along with a platoon of VDV air assault troops is also operating in the area in order to support the Syrian Army.

MISSION BRIEFING

FROM: Russian Forces in Syria Special Operations Command
TO: Spetsnaz GRU Unit "KOT"
EMERGENCY TRANSMISSION.
Several minutes ago a Mi-17 helicopter carrying Syrian general and his bodyguards was shot down by rebel SAM in your area of operations. The pilot managed to crash-land the helicopter in the part of the city controlled by the opposition. We have a secure radio contact with general's bodyguards. They report that there were no casualties, but the survivors are now cut off from our forces. It is only a matter of minutes before the rebels react, send search parties to the crash-site and begin searching the area house to house. The Syrians are preparing to attack and secure the area, but they will never be there in time.
Your mission is to evacuate the general to the Syrian outpost marked on your map. You can coordinate his movements using the radio. You also have a VDV platoon and their armored personal carriers in you disposal to assist the extraction. You are authorized to engage the enemy and use any means necessary to complete this mission.
