描述

This mod changes the Hive Soldier Drone (as well as the Southern Hive Soldier Drone) to make them a little more appealing without drastically changing or unbalancing them.

Changes are as follow:
Immunity to gas and sandstorms due to being unable to equip headpieces.
Melee Defence proficiency added, in line with their role of being created as guards.

No other changes, as they may shift too far away from their intended design.

Good mod; the defense proficiency is a great addition, Soldier Drones become effective melee fighters faster than any other race (as they now have Proficiencies in Attack, Defense AND Toughness and no negatives to any combat stat) but they don't suddenly beat Sheks (who have double the food cost and can't eat foul meat) in melee like in some other mods.

I use this and the mod that lets Skeletons and Soldiers wear a few hats; they're great that way. (With an Iron hat on they don't go down from a single bolt to the face quite as often, it also looks pretty cool)

If you run a small party food isn't ever really an issue, but if you want to go for large scale base building (especially with a 256 mod) that food consumption on hivers becomes a life saver so it's good they don't get too strong with this mod.
