Vector Gravity Drive

描述
A very simple proof of concept for a thrust vectoring gravity drive ship, using Vermillion's plugin.

Now there are some operating instructions here. The first gravity drive controls front-back-up-down and the 2nd controls left-right-up-down. Best to be thrusting in a direction before turning either on. You'll want it off too before coming to a stop.

I mostly wanted to get this idea out there so someone else might put it to use. It's barely a ship as it is.
Mirrored it front-back so the thrust and center of mass line up better. Flies a lot better now. The extra mass helps too.

Make sure your buckled in. You've been warned. XD
Also, stay away from other ships gravity fields.

Yeah, Degrees of freedom. Technically, i wouldn't loose it i just wouldn't be able to turn while thrusting a direction. It woulds also mean i can't reverse-thrust if playing 1st person.I might test it.

What does DOF stand for?

Degrees of Freedom? (That makes sense, and I have heard it used to mean that)

However, there should be ways (Involving another turret that moves the mass block, so that for two of the axis (The two yo ucan’t use), it ge’ts moved there...

Also, for a mouse controlled one, you could use MART, but, instead of a turret, have it move a gravity generater!

I know of one or two scripts but I think they require a gravity field to orient themselves. I'll do some searching.

Go for it, I'll probably expand on it eventually. I'd like to see if i can get the grav gens to switch on and off with the thrusters.
