The Kaliwog are an amphibious cuttlefish like race. Their ships are filled with a thick vaporous substance which is pinkish in color. Which they use to sustain themselves in the hostile conditions of space. Their exo-armor and exo-suits are also filled with this substance. Most of their ships resemble a cross between a squid and a tadpole. Most of their regular ships come standard equipped with multiple strong tentacle appendages which they can use for many different functions. Which usually seem to be to grab enemy ships to either capture them or to tear them apart.
Even though they claim to not be interested in boring endeavors such as conquest or spur- scale genocide, they are usually quite aggressive. We better keep an eye on them just in case. And occasionally break some of their creepy toys. A few of our space faring neighbors also claim that they are significantly more laid back and agreeable when taking a bath in hot butter. “And are fairly tasty too!” (Note: when asked, none of them would comment further about how they came to obtain this second piece of knowledge)
