*Updated 4/21/2020!* New Starts, including Easier (less insane) starts!

You have been exiled from your hive for not loving the queen enough, sent out into the wilds with no food or equipment. Unlike in the Western

Hives, once your fellow hivers realize you are disconnected from the Queen's pheromones, they immediately decide that you are fit to be a sacrifice for King. If you somehow manage to escape the other hivers, you will probably get slaughtered by beak things, black gorillos, or something else.

After playing this you will realize why there are so few ronin Southern Hivers out in the world of Kenshi.

New version has original Hive Village starting location, a Hive (where the Queen is), a Hiver-Claimed Armory, Catun, Mourn, and Trader's Edge starts, the last 4 are likely to be much easier.

Enables Southern Hive to be playable, so this should work without the other race mods.

@Allan Marques you can use my mod for yours. That being said, it is possible escape the spawn but it's very hard, and usually requires you to get beat up (so the enemies leave) but not die.

Nice mod, but you have to start in a town; otherwise, it is impossible because you spawn surrounded by a dozen enemies and cannot outrun them.

Anyway, @danshakuimo, may I use your mod to create a variation? I want to roleplay a scout spawning in a nearby ruin with a bit of athletics and sneak to justify his escape. Another possibility is a rock bottom start in Mourn after being rescued and patched by local heroes.

Feels like escaping North Korea, but eventually I've sneaked my way to Muron through droneguards and beak things. 10/10 :steamthumbsup:

Pretty much impossible, when you also have the "Bleeding Requires Aid Kits" mod installed. Even a minor scrath means instant death. Just by itself the start is hard but doable.

@Oak_Frog When you launch Kenshi, click "Import Game" on the main menu, then select your save file. You can do this any time populations disappear from towns and it'll fix it.

okay each time i go to the city like heng or something no ones there and i did try saving and closing the game still nothing any ideas?

@GIMMICK ACCOUNT Oh I'll check that out thanks. Also @danshakuimo I wasn't ever able to trade with my southern hiver character with any western hive. Could trade with the actual hiver caravans but that's all.

Shidan's Tweaks and Fixes has solved the issue after I pointed it out to the modmaker. Should be perfectly compatible with this one here, too! :)

I heard some people moved the southern hivers into the "hive" group on FCS but then you will be treated exactly the same as a western hiver. I think being able to trade with the West as southern hiver is important but there are mods that fix this issue avalible. This one does not include that feature.

@GIMMICK ACCOUNT Yeah gotta say it's a shame that because sometimes being a southern hiver you can be treated as though you were human in some dialogues. It does impact immersion quite the bit sadly. Wonder if there's like some easy fix out there.
