描述
Infiltrator is a low-tech stealth rover, able to deliver saboteurs past enemy automated turrets. I believe it is the first to use this kind of technology.

How does it work?

Through applied Clangotronics, of course. And a super-secret, nano-material coat of paint applied over a reflective, angular armor.

Actually, it presents itself as a powered-down piece of scrap. That's all there is to it :)

--------------------

Okay, but how do I make my own stealth craft?

Turrets will attack any object that is POWERED. They will ignore scrap like unpowered armor blocks (and even some other blocks, like parts of wheels, spotlights... anything harmless). What I did was, I've put the unpowered shell OVER the powered rover through a piston.

The game sees these as two separate objects, so in a way I am hiding behind a piece of scrap.

It's not that easy though... I went through 60 failed prototypes and it still doesn't work flawlessly, so I don't think this blueprint is OP. You need to make sure the shell covers the powered parts perfectly (it is harder than it looks, as turrets can see through the smallest gap).

This gives you immunity to turrets while standing still. Now, to be able to move - you need to move slowly. I've noticed that the closer you get to the turret, the safer you are, but at top range you will have to play some hide and seek. I hope this helps. It was fun making this guy, but it took a lot of testing to discover what "triggers" the turrets.

--------------------

INFILTRATOR MANUAL:

- Step next to it and the armored shell will open to reveal the cockpit
- There is another entrance in the back, if you are close to the enemy and don't want to be discovered
- While standing still, Infiltrator will not be targeted by enemy turrets
- If you drive slowly, you can even sneak past turrets, but this requires some practice
- If you get under fire, make a full stop to regain stealth.
- Heavy armor should be able to absorb some hits.
- This stealth tech is not perfect - but it gives you a chance to sneak inside enemy base

--------------------

Every single positive comment from every single fellow engineer is encouraging.

Hey, did you know I love Space Engineers so much that I've written two science fiction novels inspired by the game?
Look for them on amazon if you feel like it:

so for anyone wondering. the stealth exists but now turrets only ignore this kind of stealth at 400m or less so i recomnd working on some heavy armor suttle to deliver the infiltrator to the gorund

Are you alive or just quit this game?

This is awesome, but when i tried to use it in my world, it wouldn't move. i have no idea what happened, i didn't break anything! Also, do you build ships on request?

This is an excellent concept, but it seems that Keen probably fixed this stealth exploit in some recent updates. I did lots of testing in a vanilla world using the same methods used here but I just kept getting shot by the turrets.

Im pretty sure smart turrets 2 breaks this because turrets can decide if your junk cover is thin enough to poke a hole through and blast you. Otherwise this concept should still work fine vanilla or if the cover is thick enough to confuse the smart turrets.

Probably outdated, but the way it work is that the steel shell isn't connected to the actual rover.
So if you connected the shell to the rover in any way, then it will be powered and shot.

Or the Dev could also ahve fixed that.

I don't think this works anymore. Turret still lit the vehicle up even at a complete standstill, the moment I converted the turret to hostile.
