INTRODUCTION
The Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II is a family of single-seat, single-engine, all-weather stealth multirole fighters. The fifth-generation combat aircraft is designed to perform ground-attack and air-superiority missions. Compared to the F-35A, the F-35C carrier variant features larger wings with foldable wingtip sections, larger wing and tail control surfaces for improved low-speed control, stronger landing gear for the stresses of carrier arrested landings, a twin-wheel nose gear, and a stronger tailhook for use with carrier arrestor cables. The larger wing area allows for decreased landing speed while increasing both range and payload.

Honestly I don't get what you mean with "for AI using VTOL mode" as this mod is about the F-35C which doesn't have any VTOL mode. The only F-35 variant that supports VTOL is the F-35B which isn't modeled in this mod.

Hi Hornet - is there a way to force AI landing on the carrier using VTOL mode. There was an F35 mod I found some time back that would let AI land on the carrier using VTOL by default (I assume it wasn't meant for carrier ops) - but I can't find it. It's not part of Firewills mod and I've tried three of the current F-35Cs but no luck so far.

Actually, I never tested Autolanding, LOL and no-one ever complained about this before.
Unfortunately I don't have the time to keep supporting this mod anymore.

Yeah sorry, I realized that after I posted. Really nice plane though. It flies smooth and has a nice loadout. I did try autolanding on the Freedom but it doesn't catch the cables. I tried manual landing and that worked fine. Very nce mod. My hat's off to you.

@Hux,
Like it was already replied (and several times so) in the past, this mod models the F-35C which is the carrier based version of the F-35 which doesn't have "vertical take off". The F-35 variant that has "vertical take off" is the F-35B which isn't modeled in this mod.

This mod is no longer supported but I gave it a try and I don't know what's happening in your end but I tried just like you did by placing a F-35C in Eden editor, fly for a bit then returned to Eden, added a few more objects and played again and so on without any problems. I suspect you might have another mod installed that's resulting in your problem. Try loading the F-35C mod only and see if you still have the problem?

Is there no vertical take off with this plane? I can't find any way to move the engine nozzle.

I don't know why, but this mod is making my game freeze on second time load. When I play F-35 in scene using eden editor and jump into play scenario, then I return back to eden editor for changing objects or etc it won't load it keeps loading.

Any plans to add functional aerial refueling?
It's currently not compatible with any tanker platform as it's missing the "refuel_probe" in the config that the fuel drogue is supposed to attach to.
