Omnia F41 Piggyback

A small ATV produced in 1966 by Omnia Industries, intended for military use.

With escalation of American involvement in Vietnam, a need for a small, nimble and reliable scout and transport vehicle arose, for use in the South Asian jungles. One of many alternatives, the "Vici"-military division of Omnia Industries quickly designed the F41 Piggyback, intended for the US Army. With it's durable steel body and long range radio, it was very popular among US Forces, and quickly became a common sight in the Vietnam jungles, and 2,576 were produced. Another 327 were purchased by British forces mainly intended for use in Africa, and 780 were sold to the Swedish Armed Forces. Another 945 were sold to nations all around the world, and to this day they are a somewhat common sight in armed forces worldwide.

In 1971 it was repurposed into a civilian version.
