Blood Monsters Radio

WARNING: This is a jokey mod about a game so obscure most people have no idea it exists based off a stream so small it might as well just be an in-joke. You may not find this funny!!

When you think of classic MS-DOS games, what's the first one that comes to mind? If you're anything like me--and you should be, damn it--the name on the tip of your tongue is 1995's Finnish masterpiece, Blood Monsters! For the uninitiated, Blood Monsters is a game that, had you played it once at a friend's house as a kid, you might have mistook it for a fever dream. The game offers next to no exposition, and features crude MS Paint type graphics, a confusing mishmash of Finnish and English that I'm sure would puzzle speakers of either, baffling "gameplay" that leaves you wondering why they even bothered, and a truly weird theme song that defies you to try and give it a genre label. In short, it is a work of high art and I will never stop being amused by it.

Now you can enjoy the haunting Blood Monsters theme in the comfort of your own Garry's Mod server! Just spawn yourself a radio and listen to it while making the G-Man make funny faces, building a giant wang out of rusty barrels, or finding new and exciting ways to kill yourself with the physics engine! Fancy something a little more serious? Try using it for roleplaying* and let your imagination run wild! Is it a coded message from the resistance? A mysterious transmission from the uncharted wastes? A top 40 hit from whatever kind of screwed up hell world that could happen in? The possibilities are limitless!

Thanks once again to ShaunTheYeep for his Portal Radio, without which I'd never have gotten started on these radio entities, and to Tristan885 for helping me smooth the code out and make it work in a more ideal fashion. Oh, and before anyone asks, no, the texture is not corrupted or messed up; it is intentionally an ugly, terrible, brightly colored mess, because that's exactly what Blood Monsters is.
