Fancy Escalators for your tower by Jinxie395

Yes the escalators work and yes peeps can use them properly! The animations are already in the game.

Update: Added another escalator with a background wall



Three escalators are included in this mod:

Escalator - Rail reaches the floor above, more suitable for stacking escalators on top of each other. Transparent background for wallpaper/windows.

Short escalator - Topmost escalator, has no railing above on the next floor. Suitable for any placement, but especially for being the topmost escalator in a stack. Transparent background.

Escalator with wall - This escalator is just like the short escalator, but with a tiled background wall (not transparent).


These escalators enhance the "prettiness" value of the floor they are on.

Build Cost: ~200
Daily cost: ~25
Has a chance to breakdown based on traffic flow.

Any way to lower breakdown rate? On a very large, very complex tower I cannot even begin to keep up with repairing these. The ones with heavy traffic break down many times PER DAY. I can't use them like that. What's that you say, only use them in low traffic areas? I have not one single low traffic area in my tower where an escalator would be useful.

@tystudio Sadly there is a cap on how many mods you can have at one time. This means only the minimum will work at one time and some will disappear.

This mod keeps disappearing on me. I tried starting up the game only to be told that these mods were missing. Is this happening to anyone else?

as far as i've found from trying to make mirror flipped stairs and escalators, the game only supports one direction.

I'm loving this mod as well, and I'll agree with the below a mirror flip version of the short stackable one would be awesome.

Yea. After realizing there is a limit, I started making my mods more compact (more in one). I have been meaning to combine my residential mods into one as well. Just haven't got around to it. I have been working a big mod lately and a few little mods trying to get them polished up. I imagine if I combined all my mods the game might crash haha.
