Rebalanced Leviathan Pearls

描述
The intent of this mod is to make Leviathan hunting a more enticing activity for making money.

Leviathans are monstrously large beasts native to the northwestern Leviathan Coast. It takes a considerable amount of time and resources to defeat one, yet Leviathans only drop a single item as a reward.

This mod makes the following changes:
  • Increase the number of Leviathan Pearls dropped by Leviathans from 1 to 3
  • Decrease the value of Leviathan Pearls from 12 000 to 10 000 cats
  • Increase the weight of Leviathan Pearls from 10 kg to 20 kg

The changes are meant to:
  • Increase the effective reward for defeating a Leviathan from 12 000 to 30 000 cats
  • Make it easier to sell pearls in shops
  • Balance the new buffs by making it a little harder to move large numbers of pearls at one time

A mod to make luxury goods from the pearls (for earning profit) may not have existed when you replied. But it does exist now: Leviathan Pearl Craftable Items . (As a companion to this mod, there's also a more recent mod that improves Leviathan drops: Better Leviathan Loot .)

Good mod it took 5 guys 50-40 skills and a arm to get 12000 cats so i see this as a good balance.

I like the idea behind this mod. One of the suggestions that was thrown around in the past is to make it so that you can use the pearls to make luxury items which can be sold for a good amount of profit. I don't know if anyone had ever tried making that yet.
