NOTICE: This ship is considered RATHER LARGE and not for use on block limited servers.
See LEXC-1 for something smaller and for use limited / survival servers

Survival Ready: YES
Space Flight: Yes, H2 Thrusters and Jump Drives
Atmos Flight: Yes, sustained 4 hr level flight only with Atmo Thrusters
Mass: 12kt (approx)
Designed for one pilot, upto 4 extra crew for non-specific tasks
Ship is designed for daytime landings only although its possible to land with the GPWS system
Fighters should be able to perform day/night ops while air-based

Unit Capacity: Approx 14 Fighters / vehicles inboard when packed.
When deployed / OPEN, 30+ or more can be parked on deck.

== Military Features ==
- Virtually all systems fully enclosed and accessible internally for repairs
- Hvy Armor in key positions (spine of ship, fwd eng harness, Avionics Bay)
- Lightly armed with Gats for defensive firing
- Missle Turret Tower deploys when Main Hangar is deployed
- Main Bridge detaches and can be used to escape (or attack?)
- Main Bridge has all necessary emergency systems - MedBay/Antennas/Parachutes/Batts
- Main body of ship also has inboard backup Antenna

== Flight and Design Notes ==
- The POS HOLD / WING LVL isn't optional if you are wanting to "air-base" and deploy and
launch fighters from an airborne, in-atmosphere position. Due to mass moving around
on the flight deck, the ship will eventually roll one way or the other if only using the Dampeners.
Using the POS HOLD system prevents this from happening entirely. The pilot can then
leave the flight seat without fear of a roll over event.

- This ship is lighter. We removed a lot of the hvy armor as it really wasn't neccessary for this
ship's use-case. Hvy armor is only used in the central spine of the ship and fwd engine connection
points.

- GPWS (Ground Protection Warning System) is modeled after real world versions where an audible
and visual alarm is sounded when the ship is pointed at a hazard. This Mk2 uses 3 sensors instead of
just 2 like Mk1 did. The first one is directly forward at 3km alarm range, 2nd sensor at a 45 deg
angle fwd/down at 3km alarm range, and one looking down from the nose at 1km alarm range.
Due to its design, it will sound its alarm the entire time any one of those sensors is triggered.

- This ship was packed with enough jump drives to make 5700km jumps. This was considered a design target as it would allow most planetary jumps to occur in jump, thus truely making this a "Fast" Expeditionary Carrier. Onboard space exists for approx 6 more should the need arrise although we've not tested flight weight limits with that many drives installed.

- Ship is designed to run entirely on Atmospheric Thusters while in atmoshere for effeciency during deployments.

- Armor is skimped in a few places where bullets or missles were deemed unlikely to hit or where systems were
deemed non-critical to maintaining emergency control of the ship. This was in order to save weight. Since the ship was not designed for direct bombardment you might notice that the lower deck has windows. These could be replaced with armor should the situation call for it however at little weight cost.

== Changes from Mk1 ==
1. Removed Hvy Armor ramming nose
Not a popular use case, rarely used, heavy, no flight critical systems located in nose
2. Reduced size of Belly Drill
Space constraints
3. Replaced Control Tower with Launcher on a Mast
Control Tower wasn't really functional and Mast is more useful and lighter.
4. Removed Grinder Deck
Rarely used, saves weight
5. Eng Pods no longer detachable
Replaced by more convenient Detachable Main Bridge feature
6. Auto-bomber Removed
Rarely used, not practicle for a slow mostly lightly armored ship

== Upcoming Features ==
1. Glide Slope indicator on Main Flight Deck (for incoming fighters)
2. In-floor Landing Gear to be used as "arresting gear" to make deck landing fighters easier and faster.
3. Auto-land system - Script to take you down to touchdown height then hold. Make landings more hands-off
4. Longer Belly Drill arm
5. Low-res Ground mapping LIDAR Display to make night landing possible and safer.
6. Backup LIDAR on retractable mast
7. Night-mode - Blackout mode - possibly a black paint job as this ship readily enables one to run night time fighter missions safely (for the fighter pilots anyway)

Still debugging the landing gear... Im torn here on whats going to work best
