[WOTC] Custom Chosen Rivalries

描述
FEATURES

Allows to specify which Chosen will be rivaled by which Resistance Faction. By default the rivals are set up according to XCOM 2 canon, which is:

Assassin - Skirmishers
Hunter - Reapers
Warlock - Templars

COMPATIBILITY

Requires a new campaign start in order to take effect.
Note that this mod is largely untested. Use at your own risk.


Class override:
XComGameState_HeadquartersAlien
This mod is largely based on Predetermined Chosen Rivalries by thegrimsqueaker72, the key difference is that this mod allows you to configure the rivalries rather than just setting them directly to canon, and it also works with Lost and Abandoned mission enabled.

CONFIGURATION

Rival factions can be set in:
..\steamapps\workshop\content\268500\1636787905\Config\XComCustomChosenRivalries.ini

haite i use predetermined chosen rivalries and haven't noticed any bugs so far (so if you just want the canon rivalries)

Never-mind, Hunter appeared show up after being defeated. If was only cosmetic like the fortress text I wouldn't mind, but it does create so many inconsistencies that I agree it's not worth it ;/ . Fighting the chosen with the lore accurate rival feels good tho

Worked for me! Although, it seems they're in the wrong fortress. Before starting the missing it says the wrong Chosen can be present. However, during the mission is as expect, so just a nitpick.

Isn't supposed to be, Assasin-Reaper, Skirmisher-Hunter, like in the intro

Can confirm that the mod causes side effects. I defeated the Hunter (was the only chosen I had found at all at the time) and then 3 days later the Hunter cracked down on a region, and suddenly the Warlock was listed as known even though I had not yet encountered him.

I've read the warning in your description but I decided to give it a try, because I use another mod of yours (Spinning Barrels for the TLP Cannon) which works fine. Once I'll finish this campaign I plan to remove it anyway. It seems I was like a beta tester of an untested mod so the only reason I post here, is for other ppl to avoid the annoyances it creates (immersion-wise).

As description says, this mod is untested. The person who commissioned the mod seemed satisfied with it, so I did not bother to develop it further. I'm sorry you had some issues with it, but I have no plans to update this mod in any way.

The mod works as intended regarding the correct rivalries (lorewise), but it creates many annoying (non gamebreaking) bugs regarding the chosen. Wrong icons for the chosen territory symbols on the world map, wrong factions / rivalries at the resistance ring and also at the avenger assault cutscene I had the warlock appearing and then the hunter talking to me about it on the world map. Lastly, I invaded the hunter's stronghold (map had the symbol of the hunter and his name on it) and I faced the warlock and after that the dead warlock appeared on missions instead of the hunter. Sorry Iridar, you have some good mods here but this one is a mess.
