Shielded by both ceramic and titanium trauma plates, the armor issued to HDF assault troops is also backed by aramids akin to evolutions of kevlar, giving them a high degree of survivability. Combined with the partially powered titanium-steel exoskeleton, the assault exosuit doesn't merely compensate for the weight of the plates, but in fact amplifies the strength of the wearer, allowing them to tote heavier weapons and armor in the field.

With further features such as ARHUD-integrated helmets, lights, comms, and a forearm-mounted tacpad, the HDF trooper is a force dripping with as much style as it does power.

There's always room for improvement, though, and a number of variants have sprung up. Examples include the smoother Mod 1, the reliable Mod 2, and the Cerberus MS variant used by Combat Engineers, for when things need moving and bulllets don't need stopping.

Erazer was saying they didn't have time or otherwise needed a playermodel a few weeks or a month ago; I said I might do it. Such was the case with the Vietnoot penguins of Mercs & Marines, I aimed to carry out that which I didn't-quite-promise-but-intended-to-do-anyway, thus these models for the Horizon Defense Force were made.

Notable influences on the design on my end include Colonial Marines, Jin-Roh, and Halo, with the initial exosuit idea from Erazer being based on CoD's Atlas exosuits.

Armor composition: Ceramic trauma plates, backed with aramids, higher hardness titanium on extremities. Metal intraskeleton of steel-titanium blend.
Powered: Partially, armor has power storage for ARHUD integrated into helmet, lights, comms, and the motor systems that allow the soldier to lift heavy loads easier and wear heavier armor.

Models: Mod 1, fixes several issues with handling, Mod 2, fixes issues with bad conditions causing reliability issues, Cerberus Mechanical Systems variant, issued on a limited basis to combat engineers, has somewhat less armor and integrated tool systems, as well as stronger motors and servos.
