More for your mistpunk/nightmare apocalypse playthrough, surviving a nightmare isn't like surviving zombies, especially not when they can hear and smell your fears.

The sound you hear when you've been warned a mob is on fast approach after touching something to continue the map is not common, from The Wheel of Time game that faded into obscurity in '99 comes the sound of the boss monster from Shadar Logoth called the 'Legion' which is gruesome and grotesque amassing of a thousand corpses into one creature created by a strange evil.

While getting mobbed you hear what sounds like a fuzzy TV screen which was common to industrial television sets and very spooky after both the Poltergeist and Ring days, especially the White Noise days. In the nightmare playthrough it will sound as though the world has been cast into some alter-dimensional reality that could only be seen through a TV set.

As you go to the carnival or so you get to hear what sounds like the inside of a psycho's head as he is inside a demon's world during a mobbing.
