RS - Armaments

The RS-16 is a fictional modular assault weapon. It is based on the R4 Assault Rifle currently in service in the SANDF. The RS-16 can be chambered for 5.56mm and 7.62mm, and all variants (barring the DMR) can take a grenade launcher. The RS-16's asthetic follows the Arma 3 trend of "futurising" modern tech. It has several variants:

• AR - Standard Assault Rifle w/ Optional Grenade Launcher
  
• AR (F-Stock) - Standard Assault Rifle w/ Optional Grenade Launcher and modified stock
  
• Carbine - Short Length Assault Rifle w/ Optional Grenade Launcher and a Folding Stock
  
• LAR - Standard Assault Rifle with Longer Handguard and Rail
  
• BR - 7.62mm Modified Rifle w/ Optional Grenade Launcher
  
• DMR - 7.62mm Marksman Rifle

7.62mm Rifle Variants can take the 20 round Magazine. 5.56m variants can take the 35 round and 100 round Magazines.

This weapon uses the recently introduced Magazine Proxy system, which means magazine models will change when different magazines are loaded.

You can find the RHS Compatibility Patch here. This introduces some additional features such as magazine compatibility with a few of the RHS Magazines, and some Foregrips for all of the Rifles (barring the DMR).

The modification is a work in progress, some aspects (such as the base model and textures) are fully complete. There are still some areas that require additional work (such as the sounds which are currently being re-worked) and the later LODs (all models only extend to LOD 4.000). As such, there are likely to be sporadic and frequent updates until this is considered stable.
