Bradshaw (Attitude Era)

Before taking on the JBL persona, John "Bradshaw" Layfield was a longtime WWF/WWE wrestler who appeared as as Justin "Hawk" Bradshaw, then as one half of The New Blackjacks, and during the Attitude Era, one half of The Acoloytes (and later the APA) with Faarooq.

As the APA disbanded, Bradshaw became JBL, a conservative tycoon character. JBL was a quick success, gaining heat and antagonizing WWE Champion Eddie Guerrero. JBL captured the title from Eddie in controversial fashion in 2004, and with the help of his Cabinet, held the WWE Championship for 280 days.

JBL would later hold the United States Championship and the Intercontinental Championship, making him a Grand Slam Champion (The Acolytes/APA were 3-time WWF Tag Team Champions). Beyond those titles, JBL also held the European Championship once and the Hardcore Championship 18 times.
